With the conclusion of the Winter Olympics and the departure of the participants from all over the world, attention has turned to Cypress Mountain where the downhill skiing events were held.
A giant slalom skier from Greece, part of the Olympic team, is continuing to complete his run which started five days ago.
Spiri, a Greek shepherd who has never skiied in competition before, has fallen over approximately 1,495 times attempting to reach the bottom of the mountain.
Olympic officials became so frustrated with his outrageous inability to ski that they packed up and left on the last day of the competition.
So now our Greek hero is all alone on the Vancouver slope attempting to fulfil his Olympic dream.
At last report, Spiri was about 91 metres from the finish line and inching his way ever so slowly to infamy.
More details when they come to hand.
