The UK women's curling team were out on the razz in Vancouver yesterday. Joined by the Canadian women's curling team they managed to drink between them 3000 units of alcohol, well over the amount recommended by doctors.
Olympic officials slammed both teams on their behaviour saying that it set a ''bad example'' for athletes to go on the razz, stating that ''women should be at home making babies''
There were rumours that Eve Muirhead the British captain had been offered a six-figure contract by sports clothing designer Diddiass to model their sportswear and winter wear. Diddiass denied bringing out a new range of fleeces but were thinking of hiring Eve to model underwear in the Tiger Woods range.
The Canadian Captain, Cheryl Bernard was asked about her silver medal and she said that the team were gutted at her performance and that she was stepping down for ''somebody younger and better looking'' to make the sport more appealing as it was like ''pulling teeth'' at times. She went on to say that the Canadians would be approaching the IOC so that their new sport of ''Snurling'' which involves hitting the weights with a snooker que into six pockets would enhance their chances of winning a gold and make the sport more ''exciting''.
Bernard went on to say that no sports companies had approached her for any sponsorship deals but she was approached by a lads mag to pose nude.
