Beleaguered car maker Toyota has announced that it is to recall the wheels from all of its vehicles worldwide as a 'purely precautionary measure'.
Toyota chairman Akio 'Tony' Toyoda today announced that whilst he regretted any inconvenience the measure would cause, the removal of wheels from all of its vehicles is the only way it can provide a 100% guarantee of safety.
The recall comes just days after the Japanese car giant was forced to recall all cup holders from its top selling Pious hybrid model due to what it described as 'compatibility issues' with the Starbucks grande latte cup.
