The Reverend Al Sharpton, an American Civil Rights Activist and general big-mouth, has insisted that the African countries of Nigeria and Niger change their name, along with the name of the Niger river.
Sharpton said that these three places sound just too much like the N-word (nigger) and that it is just too racist and demeaning for him to see these names on the globe.
Mumbutta Aka of Nigeria responded to the press release from Sharpton by saying "maybe he should change his own name. In one of the languages of my country, a Sharpton is the name for a runny turd that smells bad."
Nope, I think Sharpton is correctly named.
