No official firework displays for Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan, too DANGEROUS! and very expensive!

Ahead of the New Year celebrations several countries have decided to ban fireworks and firework displays because they feel they are much too dangerous!

In Baghdad there was a fireworks display planned but it has been banned because several children letting off "Bangers" and "Sparklers" prior to the event burnt their fingers.

They were cautioned by the local police but didn't hear the caution because just at that moment insurgent suicide bombers were going about their daily job, what a shame!

In Kabul the planned firework display will be replaced by a display of Taliban and US shells exploding in the vicinity.

The Kabul public have been told the times by the Taliban and US forces, they are so kind aren't they!

It's expected that thousands will turn up to watch this fantastic and very "explosive" show.

The Afghan President announced his gratitude to the Taliban and the US for saving them so much money, they don't have to buy fireworks now!

Also in Pakistan fireworks and displays (spoilsports) have been banned.

A government spokesman announced why:

We have enough explosions occurring on Pakistan territory and we thought it would be a grand idea to ask the perpetrators to put on a special New Years Eve display.

Bin Laden has been contacted and he has promised a "WOW OF A SHOW"

Pakistani police have been warned to search supiscious looking turbaned males and kiddies for sparklers and bangers hidden in their turbans, it could disrupt the REAL SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
