Now that Alaska's Governor Sarah Palin has tendered her resignation, one of her last official acts has been to offer to host Michael Jackson's memorial service now that Los Angeles reneged. The announcement was made at her weekly press conference held monthly at the State Capitol.
"It is not right that the Prince of Rock & Roll cannot be buried with proper pomp and circumstance because Los Angeles can't afford it. Whose fault is that anyway?" she added "Why…a Democratic administration and a Democratic Congress - that's who. Things would have been a lot different had I been elected President…let me tell you, by golly!"
When asked by a reporter how she, a Christian fundamentalist, would make such a magnanimous offer involving a personality who was allegedly a pedophile and a drug abuser, the Governor said, "No matter who we are or how great we are, we all make mistakes. Look at my husband. Look at my daughter. Look at me!"
