Beyoncé has rescheduled the August 1 concert that was originally planned for Malaysia - but canceled amid protests - and will perform instead in Pakistan on that day, Reuter reports.
The Malaysia show was nixed last week amid protests by local Muslim groups upset that she reportedly refused to obey the country's strict dress code for performers... Again!
In other news, the singer has signed on to record a cover of Michael Jackson's hit song "Ben"; Beyoncé's version will be titled "Ben 2009" and a video is planned to be filmed.
Beyoncé said she was "very excited about re-recording 'Ben' which isn't actually MJ's best song but I'm gonna make it big and you'll see"; when asked about the video, she replied, "yeah it will be very dark- I want it to be similar to 'Single Ladies' and 'Upgrade U' in a way but also pretty much like 'Dangerously In Love' and 'Ring The Alarm'. Kenny Ortega will be directing it so it will be real fun but sad cos he worked with MJ on 'This Is It' (his cancelled comeback concert series) and on High School Musical, a Disney film which MJ liked so much and Jay-Z did too, oh baby!!!!".
Ah Beyoncé! The Queen of Pop!
