It seems that everyone has become bored with listening to or reading or watching "the news" since they realised that it does not represent life. They have decided that they prefer a life devoid of fear and propaganda, and as a result of the absence of viewers, listeners and readers, no news is being produced.
It is expected that in the absence of "the news" there will be fewer arguments, and more time to socialise. A pandemic of love and cooperation is anticipated now that "the news" has ceased, and everyone is discovering that they have far less to worry about. In fact, now that "the news" has disappeared, it is expected that governments will have no way of communicating with the people, so the idea of government will probably also be abandoned.
Computer models project that most world problems will cease within hours of the abandonment of government, and that the cooperation pandemic will ensure that there are no casualties caused as a result of "no news, or the disappearance of government.
