A Rock star arrived in Malawi seeking mercy. Madonna has returned to the country where she bought (surely adopted?) a child. On arrival she declared "I've come here for mercy. I will not leave without mercy."
Many people find the prospect of rich, egotistical lunatics traveling around the world buying children to be a repulsive act. So her appeals for mercy were a surprise. Few expected Madonna to seek mercy. Even fewer thought she would return to Malawi to do so. "I am sorry for what I did before", said the star, "but I want to make amends. I want a new start."
Now a single mother following her divorce from Guy 'No longer' Ritchie, Madonna is aware that bringing up children on her own is not easy. Particularly with a full appearance schedule. So extra child minders have been hired.
