The Gaza Strip-Palestinian school children have been busy of late selecting state symbols,voting on a state moto and chosing a state song, for what they hope will soon be a new Palestinian state.
"We are so very proud of our children who are undertaking this great endevour." exclaimed Mohammad Hussein, "Already they have made some great choices!".
Among the choices already voted on are:
State Bird: the Rock
State Tree: The misguided missle launch pad
State Rodent: the burrowing gopher
New State moto: "Palestine, The Misguided Missle State".
Hamas, the political entity which governs Palestine, hopes that by adopting the symbols of statehood, it will eventually achieve the mantle of statehood which has evaded it for so long.
To draw attention to their efforts The Palestinian Liberation Childrens Choir has been invited to the White House to sing their new national anthem, The Whiffenpoof Song.
