Manchester police say they get lots of calls about wild animals but this one was different. A milkman reported a dog on the roof of a house licking its testicles. Animal control officer Dick Stick said the ladder in the back garden of the dog's owner's home apparently was high enough for the dog to jump up onto the roof Tuesday.
The dog, which appeared to be a border shitsu mix, seemed perfectly content to be there licking its anus.
"A burglar from across the street called us and said, '"You're not going to believe this,"' Stick said.
The dog was in a fenced yard with a cat and apparently just wanted a better view from the roof while licking its genitals, about 25 feet in the air, Stick said.
"He would sit on top cock his leg up and look like, 'It's pretty cool up here,'" Stick said.
Stick tossed some bricks and tempted the dog to the roof's lower level, but the dog would not come down until the owners got home.
