Washington DC-- President Obama had a basketball court built in the White House over the weekend. The court is NBA regulation size and was paid for with private donations. Mr. Obama plans to use the court 'everyday' to stay in shape and to help him quit smoking cigarettes.
The president also hopes to use the basketball court with visiting heads of state. "I'd love to shoot a few hoops with Putin or Sarkozy when they visit." said the president. "They both look in shape for men their age and I think it could be a lot of fun working up a sweat with foreign leaders. And everyone knows white men can't jump, so I will have the advantage!" he laughed.
Mr. Obama dismissed the idea of playing basketball with the UK's Prime Minister Gordon Brown. "That guy's way too fat and over the hill. He'd probably have a heart attack!" snickered the president. "Maybe he can be a cheerleader or something."
The president also laughed at the idea of playing basketball with Pope Benedict XVI. "Man, you got to be kidding. That guy's like 99 years old or something. I'm sure we'll find something in common when he comes over. Maybe we can smoke a little weed together. It sure is lots of fun being the president!" he laughed again.
