Our Photographers thought this snake charmer would have more appeal than a bunch of bored looking soldiers

In an unprecedented find this week, U.S. Army soldiers stationed in a remote region of Iraq stumbled across ancient cave dwellings. The caves are thought to have been inhabited by civilized humans as much as 25 thousand years ago. But what was truly remarkable, according to troops who were present at the find, was a golden ark sealed with a blue silk ribbon marked with the words "World Peace Is Contained Within."

"In our excitement," one of the witnesses later reported, "We decided to bypass the normal protocol for finding ancient human artifacts, and just cut the ribbon off."

There are not any credible witness accounts available for what happened next, except that when the dust had cleared, the ark, and the world peace it had contained, were no longer there.

World leaders, relieved that the burden of being nice to one another had been averted, publicly avowed to renew the search for world peace, according to the doctrines of each individual nation. No comment was available when a reporter in the crowd pointed out that killing one's opponents is not necessarily a step towards world peace.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
