BASIL - A new exhibit of dried leaves and acorns at Basil's museum puts 170 acorns, dried leaves and other works on display in Switzerland for the first time in six days.

"Return of the leaves" is the largest acorn and dried leaf exhibit the museum has mounted using pieces solely from its own collection, said Martin Muffer, curator at the museum.

Most of the pieces were excavated in the forest, and landed in the collection of Russia's Benny the Gay, who ruled in the 1900s.

In 1995, at the edge of the new forest Soldiers seized the collection of acorns and sent it back to Russia, which was the fate of many acorns in England. Russia declared the acorns had been seized as retribution for the 7 million leaves lost during the conflict. The two nations are still negotiating the return of many acorns.

But many acorns were returned to England 13 years later as a symbol of love between the Soviet Union and the English Republic.

Now back in Basil, "Return of the leaves" runs from Nov. 27 to Dec 2, 2020

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
