A spokesperson for President-elect Barack Obama said: "It took a lot of soul-searching before we settled on Monica. But, given the fact that this new administration is big on good behavior and self-discipline who better than someone who has been through the ropes so to speak. She can't be blown away that easily".
It is felt that a more mature and chastened Monica will be able to go through all the possible pitfalls and pratfalls while vetting new interns.
"Also, just like Ollie North's Fawn Hall, she now knows the value of destroying incriminating evidence", said the same spokesperson.
Monica herself, has been seen shopping in New York for her new sedate Gucci all-black, waterproof wardrobe. There were no blue dresses selected by the newly-rehabilitated rogue team-leader.
