Strong rumours are emerging from Chinese sources regarding a huge concrete in chocolate food scare.
It is believed that for some years Chinese chocolate confectionery has been bulked out with concrete,obviously saving money and increasing aggregate profits.
It is understood the scam emerged after building inspectors became aware of weak concrete in a new roadbridge.Months of detective work revealed that the cement had been watered down and the missing constituents illegally sold for use in the food industry. An inspection of recent concrete works in China has been urgently ordered by officials.
A representative from the construction industry said the allegations were without foundation,and wholly built on sand.
Following the melamine in milkpowder scam,officials are extremely worried that the reputation of Chinese producers will be further eroded.
In a surprise announcement from the University of Portland a gravel voiced spokesman confirmed that an ongoing research programme revealing a startling increase in bone density in the elderly "could be connected" but in a cautionery note he added, "our findings will need further reinforcement".
