The White House announced today that Vice President Dick Cheney was being immediately dispatched to Iraq in order to find out who is behind a recent string of beheadings in Baghdad. The Vice President, well known for his cutting remarks and sharp demeanor, said, "I will find out who is responsible for these cowardly acts and I will make him pay dearly!"
Meanwhile, various Washington insiders report that the real purpose of the Vice President's mission to Iraq is to act upon calls from high-ranking Senate Republicans that "heads should roll" for the mishandling of the post-war situation in Iraq. On numerous occasions, President George W. Bush has identified Dick Cheney as "...having all the tools necessary to do whatever job I assign him."
