Unwanted export Gary Glitter was this morning en route to Beijing after being refused entry to every other country. Glitter was previously holed up in the tiny country of Limbo, just outside Thailand.
It is believed that Glitter suddenly decided to visit the Beijing Olympics on a whim after reading the morning papers regarding coverage of the gymnastic events.
Glitter was seen to sprint towards a plane heading to Beijing, ostensibly to avoid waiting crowds of papparazzi. He then bounded up the steps of the plane, slamming the sides as he jumped aboard in an apparant effort to get the pilot to take off quickly.
Glitter was overheard enthusiastically telling a baggage attendant that he had always had an interest in Sport and had decided to go and watch some of the action over in China.
He was last seen waving and blowing kisses to reporters from the departing plane and loudly "thanking God."
