OTTAWA (FMLiveWire) - Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper has strongly voiced his support of the torture and prosecution of Canadian children at Guantanamo Bay by the US military.
"I wholeheartedly support the torture of Canadian children by the US," Harper told a packed Ottawa news conference. "As the senior degenerate in our government and a faithful stooge of George Bush, I couldn't care less about human rights, international law, civil liberties or our constitution."
Newly released Canadian government documents and video show convincing evidence that Canadian citizen Omar Khadr was abused and tortured by the US military as a child in Afghanistan and later in the US government concentration camp at Guantanamo Bay.
The evidence also reveals that the Canadian government has abetted the persecution and torture of Khadr, who has been in US military custody since 2002, having been apprehended in Afghanistan as a 15 year-old child.
The US claims with contradictory testimony that Khadr killed a US Special Forces Sergeant during the four-hour firefight in which he was apprehended. Yet Khadr denies any involvement and his defense has evidence that the soldier was killed by a US grenade and "friendly fire."
The newly-released video dates from February 2003 and shows thug-torturers from the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) laughing at Khadr's complaints of abuse and threatening Khadr with reprisals against his family in Canada.
CSIS has vigorously defended the actions of its thug-agents.
Canadian authorities were well aware that Khadr had been subjected to the CIA and Pentagon torture techniques including prolonged sleep deprivation, a practice specifically prohibited by international law as well as by the Geneva Conventions.
The video footage has added to the mounting public and international outrage at the complicity of the corrupt Canadian government in the activities of the corrupt US government and corrupt NATO in Afghanistan and in the illegal Guantanamo Bay torture camp and the Bush administration's kangaroo-court War Commissions.
"I am adamant in my perverted support for Khadr's continued torture, detention and prosecution by the US military," said Harper. "Via our NATO involvement, Canada supports the sick imperial aims of the US in Afghanistan and its slaughter of innocent civilians too."
"Always remember, 911 was an operation of Saudi Arabia and Egyptian agents and Afghanistan had nothing to do with it at all," barked Harper. "Canada is now a torture state like the USA and Israel, and I will torture any Canadian citizen who objects."
Guantanamo Bay detainees have been held indefinitely without charge and subjected to torture, including sleep deprivation and waterboarding. Even the US Supreme Court has conceded that the US government and military have repeatedly violated US and international law with its Guantanamo Bay concentration camp.
"The global war on terror is a fraud and a cover for the USA to steal more oil and throw its weight around and for Israel to steal more Palestinian land," Harper laughed. "Canada is a sleazy supporting poodle for the dying American empire."
