In what can only be described as a win for the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon and special negotiator Bernie Ecclestone, a resolution has been reached that will see a peaceful transition of power in the troubled African nation.
Mr. Robert Mugabe has agreed to step down as President of Zimbabwe and take up the position of President of the Federation Internationale De Automobile (FIA). In a role reversal the current President of the FIA, Max Mosley will take up the position as President of Zimbabwe.
Upon the announcement of the deal Mr Ecclestone spoke highly of both candidates shared skills and values and their ability to get the job done.
"It is clear that both these great leaders know exactly how to deal with troublemakers and will take an equally hard line in ensuring those people are punished."
"Just as importantly neither of these gentlemen are interested in a fair fight. Politics in sport and government are essentially the same thing; ensuring you tilt the playing field to achieve the outcome you and those that support, or have photo's of you, desire. These men are clearly unmatched in those skill sets."
In speaking about the deal Mr Mugabe said he initially had some concerns but they were overcome after meeting Mr Ecclestone and Mr Mosley.
"Other than the fact he (Mr Mosley) is white, in our attitude and behaviour we could be brothers. I know am I leaving my country in good hands, good strong dominating hands.
"We have both been pestered by awful English elements, the parliament in my case and McLaren in his, and we have overcome them both."
"I know I have some work to do in getting Lewis to Ferrari so we can allow a black man to win the world championship while still give McLaren hell but I am sure that can be arranged between Bernie and I"
Mr Mosley was also upbeat about the move.
"I was really attracted by the ability to jail journalists that write things I dont like. Holding back credentials was starting to lose its affect a little"
"Having my own army, police force, real jails, with prisoners and the like to play with is another massive plus. It will allow me to let go a bit from the up tight lifestyle you all know me so well for."
