Praia da Luz - (Ass Mess): Portuguese police have slammed McCann PR spokesman Clarence House Mitchell as 'an accomplished liar, as rotten and conniving as Diana's butler Paul Burrell'.
The Policia Judiciaria statement today also claimed that 'thousands of other, unrelated Portuguese arguidos are now claiming their own lavishly-funded publicity campaign directors, as a matter of human rights, in parity with the McCann couple'.
And in a nifty bit of knife-twisting coup de foudre the Praia da Luz police chief added that he had not noticed any former Buckingham Palace or BBC journalist 'acting for little Shannon Matthews' mother, Karen.'
"It wasn't any Portuguese police source who leaked that 'Maddie crying' allegation, either," Portuguese police union chief Carlos Anjos added.
"With such a star-studded celebrity and political cast acting for the McCann couple I suggest the leak came from one of their own insiders.
"Maybe somebody very near to 10 Downing Street? Or even a former resident?"
