Praia Da Iluzion - (Ass Mess): Portuguese police have retalliated at today's Sunday Tosser campaign of finding new unofficial suspects by issuing their own e-fit sketches of the main arguidos.
The move comes following publication of a "sinister, creepy, suspicious-looking, long-haired, bushy-eyebrowed male" who, admittedly, has never been seen or mentioned before in the entire nine month investigation.
The controversy is bound to protract the public slanging match which last year saw the Portuguese Public Prosecutor legally bar the main suspects from talking to the media about any aspects of the case.
This order has been largely ignored in the UK where dozens of top politicians, A-List celebs and public do-gooders were roped in to promote a different slant on the matter.
EU legal sources are now debating whether today's Sunday Tosser story makes the paper subject to Contempt of Court charges.
Meanwhile former Deputy Chief Constable of Greater Manchester John Stalker has suddenly gone to ground after his October 2007 interview when he blamed "a Tory/New Labour pact of omerta" for fuelling the entire media circus.
An update follows shortly.
