NATO HQ, Brussels - (Bad Ass Mess): NATO has likened the relationship between the Pope and Opus Dei to that of Hitler and the Gestapo.
In a tersely worded assessment of EU organised crime NATO top brass has slammed Joseph Ratzinger's hounds for obstructing criminal investigations centered on dodgy tax havens like Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino and the Vatican itself.
The report follows months of painstaking probes into war crimes suspects' bank accounts and financial transactions.
"If you think the gagging of the UK's Cash-for-Honors fiasco was a corrupt whitewash just you wait for the Cash-for Cardinals scam to erupt," a NATO source said today.
"Opus Dei's pious self-flagellating public image belies their worship of the god Mammon," the source continued.
"And their enforcement gangs make the Gestapo look like the Keystone Cops."
