A Muslim woman in Glasgow has been arrested and stoned after it was alleged she insulted and demonized the ex-Rangers and Celtic player Mohammed Johnston.
Johnston, known locally as Mo, played for both Glasgow clubs, transcending their seemingly intranscendable Great Religious Divide, and helped create new levels of tolerance and understanding amongst the two previously volatile and antagonistic sets of Old Firm fans.
The woman, Fluzi McHammed, was arrested by football supporters on a bus after slating Johnston, calling him a "false prophet", and a "useless bastard". One passenger also claimed to have heard McHammed say that the player had once been a Teddy Boy.
McHammed was thrown off the bus, and one man, Mohammad Mohammedd, lobbed a brick in her general direction as she trudged off towards Mohammed Street shops.
Mo Johnston was unavailable for comment.
