Protesting monks were beaten today in Burma, and were attacked with tear gas, as senior officials claimed that the Buddhists were 'too damn peaceful by half.'
"Why," Asked acting prime minister Thein Sein, "Why must they be so calm? We beat them and they have the tenacity not fight back."
A wry spokesman claimed that the tears brought on by the gas were probably still 'of joy', but worldwide fears are growing as the Burmese government continue their reign of oppression.
"It seems that happiness has truly been outlawed," A foreign minister admitted, "A dictator is nothing to smile at, it only irritates him."
Meanwhile worldwide officials have claimed that they are not taking action against the country's leaders as they 'haven't heard of the place.'
