Hello, here I am in "Paree" where Segolene Royal and Nicholas Sarkozy were going head to head in a live television debate. The whole of France tuned in to watch the exchanges.
"You are a slut, everyone knows that" said Mr Sarkozy.
"How can I be?" replied Ms Royal "I have never slept with you! Anyway, you are not fit to govern look at the state of your clothes, you dress like an Englishman!"
Inside out
Mr Sarkozy could have lost his cool at that very insulting comment but he managed to remain calm and delivered a potentially devastating blow by saying: "You are a simple Parisian tramp. Madam! your knickers are on inside out"
The audience gasped at the alleged inexcusable dressing faux pas, but Ms Royal was quick to retort: "I'm not wearing any"
