In a shocking and unplanned press conference, President Bush begged for Jack Bauer to come out of hiding and help his country in its hour of need. "We need you Jack" the President said.
The press core sat in stunned silence as Mr Bush issued forth his proposals for bringing the country back from what he called the brink of "madness" and added "all this hullabaloo about tie rack and its propane and propane accessories is causing the country to stop consternatrating about the real issues of terroristics and who dialled 911 in the first place".
Before the critically confused chief could continue, an aid rushed to his side to whisper something to the beleaguered president. A look of what we can only describe as surprise passed over the Bush countenance before the lights dimming and the microphone being hastily pulled from the leaders lapel.
A statement was released soon after, informing the press that the president had just been having a little joke, as is his way sometimes, and he is fully aware that Jack Bauer is a fictional character.
