Santa Claus has been found hiding by American soldiers in a farmouse basement in a village near Tikrit, Iraq. Besides his bedraggled clothing, his only other posessions were a tin of Cherry Blossom brown boot polish and several gallons of grey hair dye.
Experts said that Santa appeared to have entered the house via the wrong hole and got his dates mixed up at the same time. It would appear that he also needs his navigating gear serviced.
Santa has now been moved to Lapland where he faces futher questioning.
