DATELINE BEIJING, Jan 15 - The father of a US family visiting China was arrested for urinating on a tank in Tiamennan Square today. Witnesses said he was screaming: "Free Tibet" while he relieved himself against the tank treads of one of the People's Republic of China's military vehicles.
In an attempt to prevent the arrest, his family was heard to claim that the man suffered from uromycitisis a rare urinary tract ailment that requires immediate evacuation of the bladder . The disability they were heard to protest was well known in the US since it was popularized on a famous Seinfeld episode.
Chinese authorities would have nothing to do with this strange alibi and the apprehended offender was heard, while being dragged away kicking and screaming,to say something about how his friend went to school with the son of the Chinese ambassador to Hong Kong or maybe it was the Hong Kong ambassador to China but either way, boy, would they regret this violation of human rights.
Amid the laughter of the throng in the square, observers were heard to comment on the weak bladder of the funny round-eyed man. In a subsequent interview with the family most members agreed that the arrest was probably for the best and that they thought a re-education camp would probably do him a world of good. At any rate they would certainly enjoy the rest of their vacation without having to deal with him and his frequent bathroom stops.
