Branston admits a cheese burger with Branston pickle may not suit international tastes

Business big noise Richard Branston is reported to be going into a 'marriage of convenience' with American fast food giant Burger King.

Branston, real name Branson, is intending to change his name by deed-poll to enable him to 'milk' a rather tenuous link between the hamburger giant's new recipe, a change that sees Englandshire's famous Branston Pickle being added to the already calorie-heavy heart attack inducing 'sandwich'.

The cheerful bearded Catweazle looky-likey told the Spoof:

"Well it was either a partnership or I was going to sue because they'd already started to use my image in their advertising campaign. Have you seen their King character. I don't remember posing for that; I must have been three sheets or something."

But this new partnership has raised fears in the travel industry as commentators are predicting that the standard of in-flight catering is going to plummet on Virgin Atlantic. Alan Whicker told us:

"Airline owner and burger giant? You do the math! It's surely only a matter of time before the in-flight meal will be a Bacon Double Sky-burger, fries and a coke. I wouldn't be surprised if you could go large for an extra 30p"

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
