Abu Dhabi, UAE - An Islamic court has issued a fatwa banning Mars and Martians after someone posted 1969 footage of Mick Jagger and Marianne Faithful's favorite recreational snack on the I Luv Two-Hump Camels website.
Imams sitting in the General Authority of Martian Affairs (GAMA) court ruled that anyone copycatting such Western rubbish would be permanently exiled somewhere horrid.
Commenting on the judgement a spokesperson for the Persian Gulf confectionery industry said, "GAMA raises all kindsa stuff," in an enigmatic admission of being totally gobsmacked.
The ruling may now permanently put the kibosh up the UAE fledgling space travel industry plans hoping to be the first to export local candy beyond the Kuiper Belt.
A one kilo box of local Turkish Delight retails at around twenty dirhams ($50).
