This is a landmark achievement in this country where things have generally been serious for the last century or two. German humor has traditionally been of the type which accurately describes a situation. Such as :
"Did you hear the one about the two Rhineland farmers? Well, one thought the other had done the morning milking and it turned out he had forgot! They were not able to eat their breakfast until 9:30 a.m.! After they BOTH had to do the milking!
One can see the issues with this type of humor.
In the hope of promoting hilarity, two rubber chickens were left conspicuously on a table and a Kaiser Wilhelm look-a-like complete with spiked helmet and giant mustache will come by at noon.
A Work Gruppen of 20 people were tasked with writing a "news snippet" for the famous "TheSpoof.com", well-known connoisseur of internet humor. The snippet should be ready by next week.
