Gdansk, Poland - (Associated Messerschmitts): Old war wounds appear to be hard to heal in North Western Poland amid reports that Polish patrol boats have opened fire on a gaily-coloured Westphalian pleasure boat cruising the balmy Baltic waters around the fabled holiday resort of the Hel Peninsula.
Polish TV reported that drunken oiks from the neighbouring EU country were heard signing un-Polish sea-shanties as their pleasure-steamer chugged around in national territorial waters 'in an under-hand and sarcastic manner'.
"These weren't sight-seeing Germans, these were taunting Teutonics - mocking the virility of the Polish National Coast Guard Reserve, whose fellow officers are currently on active duty in the Basra region of Iraq", said a witness.
"Some buck-shot was fired in their general direction and seems to have scared them off completely.
"That'll teach 'em!"
