During the Cold War, because of the continuing threat of the Soviet Bloc to launch World War 3, West Germany decided to spread its 300 tons of gold reserves to different banks around the world to preserve the stability of the economy of what is now simply, Germany.

At present, because the threat of World War 3 has thawed because of the disintegration of the Soviet Bloc, Germany has decided to haul back its gold reserves to its own Central Bank.

Meanwhile, in the Visayas region in central Philippines, a father, a breadwinner of a middle class family, which almost always has to budget for its needs, was dreaming of more money for his family so they could have some luxury like leisure and dining out and a better house.

Somewhere, someone magical heard his wishes. As the German authorities were hauling their gold back to their native land, about 2 tons of the precious mineral were somehow diverted to the house of the Dad.

The Dad was surprised to see the gold in his house. He was even more surprised to see German spy officers knock on his door. They were able to trace the gold to his house.

The attitude of the Dad was "Well, that is not mine. That is not ours. You can take it." As he shrugged his shoulders with a sigh.

So, the Germans had some machinery haul the gold, but to no avail. The gold seems to have a magnet towards the house. It would not budge.

Then, they looked at the engraving on the gold. The words in German of THE CENTRAL BANK OF GERMANY melted and turned into THE HAPPY FAMILY.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
