The moon over Indonesia this morning

Indonesia - The Pacific Ring of Fire was shaken by a 6.1 tremor today just as the eclipsed Sagittarius full moon's shadow path crossed the equator.

"The area is notorious for over-reacting to astrological phenomena," a spokesperson for the World Geological Survey admitted this morning.

"We're blaming today's occultation for triggering this trauma on the Pacific Basin's arc of volcanoes and fault lines.

"Seems a pretty good bet in the absence of any weird fracking-related conspiracy theories."

In April this year the Indonesian islands were shaken by a series of quakes in Aceh Province of 8.6 and 8.2 magnitude respectively centred some 33km beneath the ocean.

The ensuing fallout included a karmic domino effect that opened up a massive gas bubble in Chevron's Barrow Island Gorgon project, as reported by QM-NewsCorpse.

So far there have been no reports of any increased hydrocarbon harvesting activity in the region, although a number of dormant caldera volcanoes are on greenhouse gas explosion high alert.

More seismic activity is expected over the coming daze as Venus begins its historic transit of the Sun on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning.

A retrograde Neptune is also in the aftershocks frame.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
