watch out for deadly surfer attacks

A 4-year-old shark has suffered serious injuries to its back and tail fin in Australia's tenth surfer attack this month.

Australia normally has about 15 surfer attacks per year - some of them fatal. But there already have been 10 attacks this month.

Coastguards are not sure whether it's the same surfer wreaking havoc among sharks. Witnesses said the surfer was bullish and wearing a great white wet-suit.

Vets said the shark was attacked from behind. Six marine biologists in a tug-boat pulled it ashore where it was patched up with giant-size puncture outfits and loads of superglue.

Basking sharks near Sydney are being encouraged to watch out for a big white surfer coming up from behind.

Many of these surfers surge into Sydney to stock up on food and drink. But when the tides are against them they surf around and have a go at any likely-looking unaccompanied basking shark.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
