Topeka, KS-A major Tea Party rally was cancelled due to the fact that many of the attendees were attending a town hall held by Senator Jerry Moran to announce their disgust with his plan to cut Medicare benefits.

"I think it is sad that he won't fix the healthcare system. He wants to stick it to the little guy." Billy Bragg, a 65 year old retired mill worker, said.

The group that normally attends Tea Party rallies made their case for continued Medicare coverage and claimed Senator Moran could cut Medicare cost by actually lowering healthcare cost.

"I think Moran is in bed with these healthcare companies, and doesn't want to give up all those nice donations they give his campaign. Sure, he might talk tough when it comes to reigning in government costs, but what about the debt he putting on us seniors when he doesn't do anything to save Medicare." Jane Manny, a retired administrative assistant, said.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
