A group of San Francisco workers are furious after being turned away from a building site near the city.

Leo K. Plebiscite and a group of colleagues were told to leave the site of the new office development at Alameda during their lunch break yesterday.

"There was me, Mort, Jose and Pete," said Mr Plebiscite. "We just thought we'd like to go and see how work was going on the site - there are rumours that our outfit is moving in there when it's finished.

"So we strolled down there with our sandwiches - it was a nice day.

"As we were sitting on some girders eating and watching the construction, some guy started yelling and waving at us. He came over and told us to get the hell out of there - he wasn't very polite.

"Seems we weren't dressed properly! Wrong shoes and no hats! Whoever heard of dressing up to visit a construction site?

"So, Pete reckons he's gonna write to the development company and complain about our treatment. He says we could even sue for the distress - Jose got indigestion real bad. I told him that pepper sauce in his wrap was too strong!"

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
