Boston, MA - Larry Foote, a MIT student who was sick of listening to Republican whine about the National Debt, figured out that Ronald Reagen's National Debt would be 7.3 trillion in today's dollars, if you figure inflation into the equation.
"I am so sick of Republicans acting like they never ran high deficits. They also like to note that Reagan did have a deficit, but that it wasn't as high as the current deficit. I did the math, and it isn't fair to say four trillion, when you are citing something that happened 22 years ago." Mr. Foote said.
"I don't see how Republicans can act so self-righteous when they started two wars that we still have to pay for. Wars costs a lot. What about the Bush Tax Cuts? Why give tax cuts during a war?" Mr. Foote added.
Republicans had no rebuttal because they were too busy trying to figure out how to twist Foote's numbers to make him look like an out-of-touch academic liberal.
