Over the centuries, scholars have toiled to unlock the meaning of the writings by sixteenth century French apothecary and seer Nostradamus.
Since the Fall of 2008, experts have watched in awe as three of Nostradamus' quatrains have revealed their meaning in the daily news. Below are the quatrains, translated from their original French:
The Scotsman will bring her into the circle
From a cold and oily place where they spy on Ivan
Although her purpose will be fulfilled
She will return to the cold only to deposit her kin
Thus begins the time of her unending presence
And during her time, she will speak to many
Ears will delight to the familiar words of her message
Words often spoken, but never true
And she will present many like her
And, like the first, these others will not be suited to their ambition
But, they too, will speak the familiar words
Untruths that bring rapture and ruin
While the lay person might interpret the above writings to be about Oprah Winfrey, scholars are convinced they refer to Former Alaska Governor turned Tea Party Girl, Sarah Palin.
"We're particularly uncomfortable with the last line," commented one of the scholars.
