Puzzle solvers on various internet game sites are beginning to see pornographic symbols in the puzzles they are solving, and, while some find it amusing, others find it quite distracting.

One game in particular "The Secret Case Files of Mr. Mondo" has so many pornographic symbols in it that it has been nicknamed "the penis puzzle." How the game works is people choose to go into a room filled with assorted items scattered about. They are given a list and as they find the items on the list, they are marked off. When they finish with that room, they can go on to other levels by clicking on other rooms or other places. They may be asked to click on five of any particular symbol as one category.

While the word "penis" or "vibrator" is not one of the clues searched for, when the gamers go to the rooms and search for pens, and umbrellas, even stuffed armadillos and waffle irons, they may catch sight of an actual male appendage in plain sight, or as plain a sight as they might find a paper clip or a pair of sunglasses.

One commenter on one site claims that she found 23 penises in one game. "I had to turn the game off," she said, "the entire room was infested with penises."

The designer of the game, Ron deLong, claims that there are no penises at all in "The Secret Case Files of Mr. Mondo" and says what the woman is seeing is several one-eyed snakes, a couple of sock puppets, and two or three model rockets which are clearly not penises.

Mr. deLong claims he is working on another game as we speak entitled "Miss Mary and her Merry Muffin Tins" due out in time for the holidays.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
