Even though it wasn't Obama's fault that an oil rig blew up in the Gulf, that he inherited two wars and a great recession, fair minded Americans are beginning to think that he is responsible for the bad luck that follows him around like a cloud; the Joe Btfsplk from Al Capp's Li'l Abner.
Joe Btfsplk was simply the world's biggest jinx. In the comic strips, he walked around with a perpetually dark cloud hovering over his head. Once he appeared on any scene, dreadful bad luck befell anyone in his vicinity.
There is no reason to pile on President Obama for these misfortunes. Although he, himself, blames George W. Bush for each and every problem, and the liberal media gives him sympathy for his plight, conservatives would rather blame all of these unlucky events as evidence that a black cat prowls the White House.
