Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States, is furious about reports claiming that Barack Obama is ahead of him in recent polls asking Americans who they believe is the worst president in our history.
It was Carter who good heartedly returned the Panama Canal to Panama and who was Commander-in-Chief when Iran took over the American Embassy in 1979 and was unable to get the release of the hostages. He also presided over the fuel shortages that left Americans waiting in line to get gas for their autos.
Claiming that it is unfair to compare his presidency with Obama's because it took him four years to fail, while Obama has taken less than two years to completely screw up our economy and lose prestige in the World, Jimmy Carter suggests that fair-minded Americans give President Obama a chance to redeem himself before they judge his tenure against his own.
"Besides that, I believe that you have to be an American citizen before you can be deemed the worst president in American history. I refuse to concede my status to a man who may or may not be a real president. If he wishes to gain my title, the least he could do is reveal his birth certificate."
