Where's Shirley At?

Queens, NY- The nation's high unemployment rate has led to higher than average vacancy rates and delinquent tenants for numerous apartment building owners.

The owners have a very important rule: Pay Your Rent of You're Out. This sounds simple enough but plenty of tenants know the eviction laws very well and they are not willing to make it a smooth process for the apartment managers and owners.

Last week in a Queens apartment building two very popular tenants had gone through the eviction process and were finally being escorted from the building by law enforcement.

When they opened the door and walked outside approximately 35 other tenants were protesting the eviction with chants of "No Roger, No Rerun, No Rent"

Even the lovable super, Bookman, (who was from a different apartment building) chimed in with the chant. "Most people call be buffalo butt. It's nice to be part of a group for once."

The Evans family, James, Florida, JJ, Michael and their sister made a very convincing pitch to the owner of the building to let them stay for two more months. Once the owner agreed, JJ yelled, Dynomite!

Officer Willis sternly asked the crowd to disperse or they would call in a patty wagon.

A tiny man-boy stepped in front of the intimidating officer and said, "What you talkin bout Willis?"

The whole gang erupted in laughter.

Shirley invited the crew over to Rob's Place for burgers and fries.
