Could lava end oil spill?

British Petroleum have loaded a flotilla of ships with lava from the Icelandic volcano in the latest attempt to plug the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico; an operation that BP are calling Cup Pompeii.

The ships now face a four thousand mile journey to the Gulf of Mexico where they will empty their load of molten rock in an attempt to form a new seabed over the leak, ending the oil spill that has now spurted over a squillion gallons of oil into the ocean.

BP have refused to comment on unconfirmed reports that the entire flotilla of ships sank while still off the coast of Iceland due to their hulls having melted. This has not prevented a senior figure within the US Government from suggesting that this is yet more evidence of what truly useless and shockingly incompetent dicks BP really are.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
