Chinese basketball superstar, Yao Ming, was named the Person of the Year in the State of Wyoming (who knew that was even a state?!?) According to the Governor Dave Freudenthal, "His name is like, totally almost the same thing as our beloved state's name."

Currently, there is no word on whether or not the state will officially change its name to "W-yao-ming". However, local news has reported that the least densely populated state in the US has been gaining recognition.

"Yes," said Freudenthal in a recent interview. "People are beginning to realize that Wyoming actually exists. We owe a lot to our big, awkward, oriental teddy bear."

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
