SALT LAKE CITY, UT - A Utah woman has been sentenced to 30 days at home with an ankle monitor for blindfolding her husband and promising him a surprise before hitting him in the head with a hammer three years ago.
Her defense - practicing for her carpenter's license. Her husband of 25 years claims he now doesn't remember being married and has developed a severe hammer phobia whenever he sees a picture of a hammer. This has prevented him from enjoying his favorite home improvement shows.
His wife has to do her hammering outside the home until the phobia can be satisfactorily treated.
