"Nyet! Nyet! Nyet! Nyet! Nyet!"

After much argument over the past year, Russia's Vladimir Putin is still claiming that the North Pole, with all its mineral rights under the ocean, belongs to Russia!

Not only has the United States disputed Putin, but so have Canada, Norway and Denmark, all who claim part of the Pole as belonging to them.

So last year, the Russians claimed a great scientific discovery. An expedition of scientists that spent 60 days aboard a Russian nuclear ice-breaker claim they found that an underwater ridge (the Lomonosov ridge) directly links Russia's Arctic coast to the North Pole. This, they insist, surely guarantees Russia's rights over a vast Polar territory that also happens to contain some 10 billion tons of oil and natural gas deposits.

Now Putin has once again approached the question and with a ball-less US President, his claim may not be disputed.

However, Charles "Curley" Baldenhead of NASA, has found his nuggets long enough to hit back at Russia.

"If the Russians claim that the North Pole is their land, then the United States claims the moon as part of it's territory as Neil Armstrong placed our flag there over 40 years ago."

Meanwhile, Sarah Palin has now stated that if she were president, she would store some of our nuclear weapons on the moon.

Although she failed miserably in explaining HOW, Putin responded by saying no more US astronauts were allowed on THEIR space station.

Palin then gave him the finger and told him that was for his space station, while Putin placed his fingers in his ears and sang the Russian national anthem.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
