Nashville, TN - Sarah Palin took the stage at the Tea party Convention in Nashville Tenessee last night at about 8 p.m Eastern time, to a huge cheer from the audience.
However those cheers soon turned to booing when the former Alaskan Governor, and self declared patriarch of the Republican Party, made what some mistook for lude comments. "I am so happy to be here tonight, but I have to tell you...I am very worried I have lost my sweet Cherry tonight." Those more familiar with Palin understood that Cherry is her Himalayan "pussy" cat named "Cherry", but conservatives in the crowd were stunned.
"Ron Paul passed out flat on his back," said new conservative John Edwards, "I had to perform mouth to mouth on him. Thank god my new love Paris was here with some mouth wash for me."
Edwards was referring to Paris Hilton, who was on his arm most of the evening. The day was then saved by Al Gore, who came to the aid of Ms. Palin by finding her Cherry. "I have discovered Sarah's Cherry, said Gore as he took the microphone and held the 20lb feline up with one hand. Now I would like to talk to you about global warming..." The crowd then rushed the stage and the Tea Party screeched to a complete hault. Nashvlle riot police were summoned to restore order.
