At his Monday press conference, President Barack Obama told his audience that we may be at war in several places around the world and the economy going to pot...literally...but the most important thing on his mind this morning was that the USA Network bring back the 'Monk", even if it's just for special TV movies.
"They did it for 'Perry Mason', they did it for 'Columbo', now they can do it for 'Monk!' Especially when they find out we're having major discussions on this free speech issue here in Washington."
The President even promised that he would be glad for Government Motors to sponsor the special two-hour episodes.
Obama stated that after the conference this morning, he was calling Tony Shalhoub personally at work, where he is playing in a theater performance, and have a good talk with him.
"Maybe invite the whole cast for a 'Monk Conference' is the best idea. I'll keep you posted after the call and this conference."
"Can we bring the 'Monk' back? YES WE CAN!!"
("YES, WE CAN!")
"Now that is out of the way, about this health care business...yada..yada..yada..."
